Wow, what a roller coaster of a film, in a good and confusing way. Nolan is known to make his films stand out above the rest and this certainly makes the cut.
Cast: John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Kenneth Branagh, Himesh Patel, Dimple Kapadia
Pros: The story was certainly something I have not seen before and new is always a plus. All the effects were mind-boggling, especially people and cars, and the environment going backward while others were going forward. It's tough to explain until you see it, but it was pretty cool. The acting was superb, John and Robert stood out but the entire cast was also amazing. Those that are worried about Pattinson's take on Batman, don't be because he's got it in the bag after seeing him act in this. I like how Nolan uses his actors from previous movies, it continues to show me that he is a great director because they continue to work with him.
Cons: The biggest con that I can put down is that the story is hard to follow. Towards the end, the pieces were starting to assemble but even then I was a little confused. It might have to take a couple of views to understand it all but I'm sure someone on youtube will do a deep dive in the story and I'll gladly be watching that. However in all honesty that was the only flaw, maybe I'm simple-minded but I do love the challenge to work my brain watching a movie.
If you plan on seeing this, do so on the biggest screen if you can, Christopher Nolan was not wrong by only releasing it in theatres because thinking about it, you wouldn't get the same experience at home.
