Bloodshot Review: No one can stop Vin, with this Tech!

The Hit:

Based on a comic book I have not read and unrelated to DC or Marvel, this was still pretty entertaining if that's what you are only going for.

Cast: Vin Diesel, Eiza Gonz├ílez, Guy Pearce, Toby Kebbell, Sam Heughan, Talulah Riley, Lamorne Morris

Pros: The character Vin played reminded me of the Movie upgrade but instead of the body being in control by technology and having a mind of its own, you were in complete control. And besides the movie upgrade, this time you can have your face blown off by a shotgun and still live with all the nanites healing you. That part of the technology was pretty cool seeing the body coming back together like nothing happened, basically making you immortal. Other futuristic tech besides bloodshot is shown, for example... a person with robotic legs, cameras making a blind man see, and another character able to breathe underwater.

Cons: Vin Diesel plays the same person in all of his movies and with being a fan of his for such a long time, I've started to notice it. He is still enjoyable to watch because you already know what to expect but this performance wasn't new. I watched a video about the comic book it's based on and I see the potential for a couple of movies but would work better as a tv series. Some of the CGI threw me off but not enough to hate it but it's noticeable in the final fights.

I did not love or hate this movie, but it was still entertaining, I knew what I was getting into and walked out saying, "it was okay". If you feel the same, go check it out or wait to rent.

Key Info: Rated PG-13. Genres: Action, Drama, Sci-Fi

The Verdict:
YELLOW LIGHT (Proceed with Caution)
