Rambo: Last Blood Review: Mess with Rambo? You don't mess with Rambo

The Hit:

This may not be the last installment in this franchise but it did go out with a bang in the climax, so if they decide to stop, it would be a good way to end it.

Cast: Sylvester Stallone, Paz Vega, Yvette Monreal, Adriana Barraza, Óscar Jaenada, Sergio Peris-Mencheta

Pros: What is Rambo known for? Bloody good violence and taking down the bad guys that do people harm. We got a lot of that in this action flick with even more clever and over the top gnarly kills. I enjoyed the new element that was introduced as family and protecting them at whatever the cost. Simply put, you don't mess with Rambo or you're gonna receive the pointy end of his extremely sharp knife.

Cons: Usually in Rambo movies, we get a lot more action and engagement than dialogue, and that aspect hurt the movie for me. The most recent movie in the series had some great actors but this time around the secondary cast didn't really do it for me. Some scenes were a little cringy at times. And although it didn't overall hurt the movie, it left a little sour taste.

Don't miss out if you're a fan, I'm sure you'll love it. That was just my one gripe about it, but it lingered in my head throughout the film. That aside, the action, the adrenaline side of the Rambo we love is there and it was great!

The Verdict:

YELLOW LIGHT (Proceed with Caution)

It Chapter two Review: Bill Skarsgård IS Pennywise the clown!

The Hit:

Pennywise the clown is back terrorizing the town of Derry and only those lucky enough to survive And beat him the first time around have to come back to try to finish the job or else many more lives will be lost.

Cast: Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy, Bill Hader, Isaiah Mustafa, Jay Ryan, James Ransone, Andy Bean, Bill Skarsgård, Jaeden Lieberher, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Sophia Lillis, Finn Wolfhard, Chosen Jacobs, Jack Dylan Grazer, Wyatt Oleff

Pros: I honestly got more scared this time around because instead of scaring children in the first one they amped it up to target a more adult audience. I had a few more jump scares and other moments in the film were more creepy and disturbing, which was great for a horror movie. I only remember bits and pieces of the very old tv version of IT and I enjoyed this most recent one a whole lot more. Mainly for the access and up to date technology we have today, it made it more exciting to watch. Bill Skarsgård continues to prove he's the better clown, Tim Curry had his moment but if you were to compare the two, bill has him beat. The adult versions of the kids were so spot on and I was in awe how they adapted their mannerisms and looks. Whoever was in charge of the casting did an amazing job and I can't say that enough.

Cons: The movie was too long in some aspects. I also think they tried to rush an ending and add too much information in scenes where it didn't need, or they could have done a trilogy and spaced the story a little further.

I was prepared for the runtime but I can see that being a problem for some. It is still very entertaining and worth going to see on the big screen.
