Spider-Man: Far From Home Review: Vacation? No such thing as a Superhero

The Hit:

With the drastic events from Avengers: Endgame, we get a break down of the world after the snap that brought everyone back. (If you haven't seen endgame by now and are mad that I just spoiled it, that's on you). #notsorry.

Cast: Tom Holland, Jake Gyllenhaal, Zendaya, Jon Favreau, Samuel L. Jackson, Jacob Batalon, Marisa Tomei, Cobie Smulders, Angourie Rice, Tony Revolori

Pros: The tone of the movie was more fun and comedic and the idea of being on vacation worked well after such depressing events from endgame. Peter and his fellow classmates had me smile from ear to ear with funny antics, he also forms new bonds along the way that will help him become the hero tony always wanted him to be. He also goes through hardships and somehow the movie focuses on that and makes you put yourself in his shoes and although he is an avenger now himself, he's still a kid and that tears him apart for wanting to be normal for a second. At times you'll see Nick Fury be a certain way with him but it's only out of love. New suits are always a plus and action scenes always steal the show. Without pointing anything out, if you guessed how the story was going to go from the very first trailer, you were probably right and because of that, I still enjoyed the movie very much. Jake Gyllenhaal as Mysterio was a perfect addition to the MCU. A perfect ending to this phase of the MCU and beginning to the next set.

Cons: Wish it was longer. I also would have enjoyed a cameo or two of some current avengers but we don't and one bonus scene had my head in deep thought and not in a good way. Maybe with the next installment, we'll see where it goes.

Tom Holland is really the Spiderman we always wanted on the big screen and is very likable, can't wait to see him in the next one along with everyone else, including his classmates, aunt may and happy. Make sure you don't miss out on this flick and you may just want to see it more than once, it was very enjoyable.

The Verdict:

Make sure to stay throughout the Credits!
