Wonder Woman Review: DC (finally) does it right

The Hit:

Wonder Woman exceeded expectations and is the best DC Film, since the Dark Knight Trilogy. Sure, I enjoyed Man of Steel, and Batman vs. Superman but Wonder Woman featured a stronger story with better pacing, especially compared to Suicide Squad

Cast: Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, Danny Huston, David Thewlis, Saïd Taghmaoui, Ewan Bremner, Eugene Brave Rock, Lucy Davis, Elena Anaya.

Pros: Wonder Woman did what all DC Films since the Dark Knight Trilogy haven't: a great origin story that flowed nicely without information overload. The cast showed great chemistry on screen. Action scenes were not over the top and although Wonder Woman has almost the same strength as Superman, the balance was just right when she was kicking butt. Gal Gadot shined as Diana and I cannot wait to see more of her in the upcoming films.

Cons: The fan boy in me wanted to see some more cameos from the Justice League (we only get one). We got to see how Diana ended World War I but some brief description of what she did from that point to present, would have been nice.

Unlike the mature wonder woman we see in Batman v. Superman, we get a glimpse of Diana from childhood to adulthood. You see a childlike young woman witness the real world first hand with all its beauty and horror. Wonder Woman is destined to be a hero and you see her become one. An origin story worth the watch -- hopefully DC can stick to this course. Give me Justice League!

The Verdict:
