Avengers: Age of Ultron Review — Joss Whedon's Marvel finale is superb

The Hit:

Avengers:Age of Ultron was a total thrill ride from start to finish. Some critics bashed on it saying it's too dragged or it has cheesy one liners but it was good to add a little comedy every now and then.

Other characters (maybe upcoming Avengers?) make an appearance and are great additions to the cast. If you've followed all the Marvel movies so far, most characters are in the movie but those who aren't the Avengers don't get a ton of screen time. Examples are War Machine (Don Cheadle) and the Falcon (Anthony Mackie).

Some of the lesser-known Avengers have a little more background, secret lives, and personality revealed. One of them is Hawkeye and he is a key factor towards the end in making a rival into an ally. The Vision (Paul Bettany) is introduced and makes a good addition.

The twins from the bonus scene after Captain America: Winter Soldier join the film. The are Scarlett Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor Johnson). They differ from the comics where they are the children of Magneto from X-Men. But they are actually given powers in this timeline which is not bad but it would of been great to introduce the X-Men somehow. Either way, one is fast and one has telekinetic powers that are useful in the end.

There are new villains who turn into teammates and I won't say who but the last scene is so awesome it rivals the first Avengers in my opinion. Ultron is such a bad ass villain created from a certain object with Artificial Intellegence that goes beyond any human intelligence. Even the Avengers have a hard time taking him down. They'll need the help of all these newbies to take him down.

Age of Ultron is a great and awesome way to start off the summer and I'm excited for new Marvel movies to come. Some close friends say they just need to end it but I disagree and love the way they are going

The Verdict:
Green Light (Go See It)
